International Paper Elects Stacey J. Mobley to its Board of Directors

MEMPHIS, Tenn., July 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- International Paper (NYSE: IP) announced the election of Stacey J. Mobley to its board of directors, effective today.

"Stacey has had a distinguished 36-year career at DuPont that included serving in the Office of the Chief Executive, which has responsibility for strategic direction and operations of all the company's businesses," said John Faraci, International Paper's chairman and chief executive officer. "Given his strong leadership and his experience as an executive of a leading global company, I know Stacey will make an excellent addition to our board of directors."

Mr. Mobley, 62, is the retired senior vice president, general counsel and chief administrative officer of DuPont, a global science company. He joined DuPont in 1972 and held leadership positions in DuPont Legal, Government Affairs and External Affairs throughout his career. He earned a bachelor's degree from the Howard University School of Pharmacy in 1968 and a J.D. degree from Howard University School of Law in 1971.

Mr. Mobley is a member of the board of directors of the Wilmington Trust Co., a financial holding company, and serves on the board of trustees of Howard University.
